Patterson used skills as a dentist to assistance others

Sam Patterson’s Christian faith played a pivotal purpose in his five-decade-long career as a dentist.

As a executive of a First Baptist Church’s dental ministry, Patterson supposing giveaway dental work to San Antonio’s homeless race and to those in need in a plateau of Honduras and a limit towns of Mexico.

Patterson died Friday of complications from leukemia. He was 87.

Before substantiating his dental practice, Patterson served in a Marine Corps during World War II. Stationed in a Pacific, he was a back gunner aboard an SBD Dauntless dive bomber.
