Robert Miles Parker dies; artist, architectural preservationist

Robert Miles Parker, a free-spirited artist who sparked an architectural refuge transformation in San Diego and translated a personalities of Los Angeles and New York into particular pen-and-ink drawings of their buildings, has died. He was 72.

His partner, David Van Leer, pronounced that a means was unknown, though that Parker, who died Apr 17 during his home in New York City, had countless health problems given being diagnosed with AIDS 20 years ago.

Parker published 3 collections of his drawings, that embody “Images of American Architecture” (1981), “L.A.” (1984) and “The Upper West Side: New York” (1988). The buildings
