Born to fly a skies

STEUBENVILLE – Two group who were innate and lifted in Steubenville and went on to turn Tuskegee airmen in World War II were featured in a display Friday during Historic Fort Steuben as partial of Black History Month by their nice, Deborah Keith of Suitland, Md.

John “Ellis” and Jerome Edwards were innate in a city and lived on Main Street. After their graduation from Steubenville High School, a brothers went to West Virginia State College. “Ellis” wanted to turn a dentist though both brothers enlisted in a aviation program. They finished their training during a Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
